Highland Park 18
First released in 1997
Distilled on the islands of Orkney to the North of Scotland
Distillery has been in existence since 1798
Still hand turn their malt - 20% from Orkney rest imported
Five keys
- Hand-turned malt
- Aromatic Peat
- Cool Maturation
- Sherry Oak Casks
- Cask Harmonization
Highland Park 18 year old has won multiple awards
Color: Natural, gold, clear and bright
Nose: Rich, mature oak with some smoke
Palate: Rich, full flavor, honey and peat
Finish: Soft, round and long
This is on my favorite list of single malt scotch
