Show Notes:

Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of my favorites.  I discover a web site called The Laird's Isle of Jura.  It has a number of posts about the island and I have paraphrased some of the recent post on Getting to Know the Isle of Jura.

The Isle of Jura extends for almost 28 miles in length being with a width of between 1 and 7 miles.  The population is under 200 with the largest population living in Craighouse on the east cost.  This village contains the only shop, hotel and the Isle of Jura Scotch Whisky Distillery.  It is a rugged island mostly open moorland and peat bog.

Sounds like an interesting place to visit and I do love the Scotch.  So go to the site for a more complete description.

Thanks for listening.

Isle of Jura

I have had a Monday from H**l.  Long day and lots of challenges.  I do like challenges but not ones the can not be solved.  Have you ever felt like you have been set up for failure?  What a day.

After a day like this, my mind wanders to a simpler life. Where could that be?  Well have you ever tasted Isle of Jura 16 year old Scotch?  On a day like this it taste so good.

And the Island of Jura is seem to be very peaceful.  According to it's web site, there are "160 people and 5000 deer".  There can't be much to do but make excellent single malt Scotch Whisky.  It sounds peaceful and quiet.

After a day like today, I would love it. But for how long? Probably not more than a month or so.  It was a really bad day.

So back to reality.  It will be a better day tomorrow.  To night I will enjoy a dram of Isle of Jura Scotch Whisky and dream of living in total peace.

Have you ever been to Jura?  If you have, is my imagination close to reality?  Let me know please.
