Laphroaig Live
Laphroaig Live was the first live whisky tasting on the world wide web. It took place on November 21st last year. I unfortunately did not make the web cast but it can be viewed on YouTube.
What is so special about this event is the use of the Internet to share a tasting with people around the world. Many people never have a chance to go to a Scotch Whisky Tasting.
And it is smart on the part of Laphroaig, because to really participate virtually you need to have the same scotch at home to taste with them. And the tastings were announced in advance so more scotch was sold.
You even had the opportunity to ask questions through a submission process before or during the show.
More Scotch Tastings should be held this way to allow more people to be involved.
